Tom's artistic style can be best described as abstract realism. He creates paintings that capture the essence of a scene, stripping away unnecessary details to focus on the emotion and mood of the moment. Tom is able to bring his paintings to life, allowing the viewer to step into his world and experience the beauty and complexity of nature
About the Artist
Tom started his first job with an architectural firm when he was only 18 in St. Louis, simultaneously graduating with an Associate Degree in Drawing and Design followed by a Bachelor Degree of Architecture.
Tom moved to the Seattle area in 1978 where his career as an architect and his family dominated his life. During this time Tom honed his computer skills and coined the term "digital watercolor". He had numerous shows and exhibitions around the city, and became the “go-to-man in his firm to do illustrations of buildings and business campuses for client presentations.
After retirement, Tom reestablished his painting passion.
